Here Are Westchester Communities Hit Hardest By Power Outages As Strong Storm Sweeps Through

Hundreds in Westchester have lost power as a severe storm system sweeps through the region, bringing rain and wind gusts approaching 50 mph.

As of around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, Con Edison was reporting 102 active outages, which left nearly 3,000 of its 3,535,450 New York customers without power.

In Westchester, 1,482 customers were reporting outages out of the utility company’s 360,045 customers.

On Monday, Con Edison was reporting outages in:

  • Mount Vernon: 474;
  • Ossining: 470;
  • Larchmont: 154;
  • Briarcliff Manor: 142;
  • Mamaroneck: 125;
  • New Castle: 77;
  • Ardsley: 21;
  • Yorktown: 6
  • New Rochelle: 4;
  • Rye Brook: 3;
  • North Castle: 2
  • Pelham Manor: 1;
  • Rye: 1;
  • Dobbs Ferry: 1.

NYSEG was also reporting 164 customers without power, with outages reported in Bedford (84), Pound Ridge (74), Lewisboro (4), and North Salem (2).

Complete restoration to Westchester customers without power is expected no later than 6 p.m. on Monday.
